Ghalib Kassam is the current Chief Information Officer at the Los Angeles Times. Prior to this, Ghalib served as the VP | CIO Global Strategic Initiatives at AECOM from January 2016 to December 2016. In this role, Ghalib was responsible for leading all Merger & Acquisition (M&A) support activities for global IT, developing and maintaining the global IT Strategic Plan, and managing the global $300M IT budget. Ghalib also served as the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to The Americas, EMIA, and APAC business units and the Corporate Shared Service Centers. In addition, Ghalib ran the global operational excellence initiative which improved service levels by continuously measuring and automating operational performance.
Ghalib Kassam has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Valley State University in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Ghalib Kassam reports to Patrick Soon - Shiong, Executive Chairman. They work with Sara Yasin - Managing Editor, Jeff Balbien - SVP, Engineering, and Hector Becerra - Deputy Managing Editor, California and Metro.
