Hugo Martin

Hugo Martin is an experienced journalist and educator with a career spanning over three decades at the Los Angeles Times, where responsibilities include serving as Assistant Editor for Breaking News and writing about tourism and travel for the Business section. Previously, Hugo specialized in government and transportation coverage as a Staff Writer. In addition to ongoing work in journalism, Hugo has volunteered as a lecturer for journalism courses at Pomona College, UC Irvine, and Cal State Pomona while engaging with the Hispanic Association of Journalists. Service as Treasurer of the Media Guild of the West involved overseeing the budget for a group representing nearly 1,000 journalists.
