Jack Leonard is a highly experienced journalist and editor, currently serving as a Senior Editor at ProPublica since March 2024, and has held the position of Senior Editor of Investigations at the Los Angeles Times since May 1998. With a strong background in investigative reporting, Jack has led award-winning teams to secure significant honors, including the Pulitzer Prize and Loeb awards. Jack's previous roles at the Los Angeles Times also include editing metro investigations, overseeing crime reporting, and covering criminal courts and local government issues. Additionally, Jack has taught news writing and reporting at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and was involved in the UK JET Programme, teaching English in Japan. Jack holds a Master’s in Journalism from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s in Modern History from the University of Oxford.
