Angela Oliver

Angela Oliver is an experienced educator and performing artist with a diverse background in teaching and mentoring K-12 students. Currently a Substitute Teacher at Los Angeles Unified School District, Angela implements lesson plans and engages students in a nurturing classroom environment. As a Teaching Artist with Get Lit - Words Ignite and through self-employment, Angela organizes poetry workshops and performances that foster creativity and collaboration among youth. Angela has also served as a Teaching Artist with Urban Gateways, a Poet in Residence at Chicago Poetry Center, and held various positions in performing arts and education since 2005. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Theater/Acting from Columbia College Chicago, complemented by professional development in Early Childhood Education.
