Jessica Coppola

Jessica Coppola is a highly experienced academic with a focus on Nutrition, Food Science, and Gerontology. Currently serving as a Professor at Sacramento City College since August 2004, Jessica teaches courses in Nutrition Science, Food Science, and the Biology of Aging, while also developing a Beer-Brewing course in collaboration with UC Davis. In addition to involvement in various committees, Jessica is recognized for expertise in online teaching and course design. At UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, Jessica developed and taught the Advanced Nutrition and Metabolism course. Previous roles include professorships at California State University, Sacramento, and American River College, along with a position as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis, where Jessica earned a Ph.D. in Nutritional Biology. Educational credentials also include a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and an Associate of Science in Biochemistry.
