Edward Will Lowe Ph.D.

SVP of AI & Data at Lose It!

Edward Will Lowe Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Edward Will began their career as a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the American Heart Association from 2006 to 2008. Edward Will then worked as a Post-Doctoral Trainee at the National Institute of Health from 2009 to 2011, focusing on therapeutic discovery. After that, they joined the National Science Foundation as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Transformative Computational Science from 2011 to 2014. Edward Will also served as a Visiting Scholar at Vanderbilt University from 2014 onwards, where they later became a Research Assistant Professor of Chemistry from 2011 to 2014. At Vanderbilt, they also held a position as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from 2009 to 2011. In 2014, they started working at Lose It!, initially as a Data Scientist and later as a Senior Data Scientist until 2019. Edward Will then progressed to the role of Director of Data Science until 2019 and eventually became the Vice President of Data Science from 2020 to 2023. From 2015 onwards, they also served as the Director of Lose It! Labs. In 2020, they joined Google as a member of the TensorFlow User Advisory Board.

Edward Will Lowe Ph.D. began their education in 2000 at the University of South Florida, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Chemistry. Edward Will completed this program in 2003. Following this, they enrolled at the University of South Florida College of Arts and Sciences, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry. Edward Will successfully completed their Ph.D. program in 2008.
