Derek Mah

Derek Mah is the current VP of Product at LotLinx. Derek has over 19 years of experience in digital media and marketing, with a focus on product strategy and business development.

Derek started their career as a co-founder of Advertain.com in 1999, before moving on to Infowave as Director of Online Marketing in 2002. In 2006, they joined Citadel Commerce Corp. as Director of Business Development & Partnership, where they negotiated large partnerships and developed new business models.

In 2007, Derek was recruited by Postmedia Network Inc. (formerly Canwest Digital Media) as General Manager (GM) of Consumer Verticals, where they oversaw the company's Auto, Real Estate, Jobs, Marketplace, and Obits businesses. In 2010, Derek joined Speed Shift Media as VP of Product & Strategy, where they helped grow the company from start-up to one of Canada's leading digital publishers. In 2020, Derek joined LotLinx as VP of Product.

Derek Mah graduated from high school and then went on to study at McMaster University, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Derek then completed an MBA at McMaster University. After working for a few years, Derek decided to return to school to get an Internet Marketing Certificate from The University of British Columbia.

Derek Mah reports to Len Short, Chairman & CEO. They work with Cole Short - Director of Design, Zach Wilmes - Director, Account Management, and Greg Garber - VP, Strategic Development. Some individuals on their team include Alex Karpyza - Senior Director, Product Development, Dan Legal - Head of Product, and Nick Hurrie - Senior Director, Machine Learning & AI.
