Suren S Ayrapetyan has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Suren S started their career as a Mechanical Engineering intern at Moscow Machine-building Production Plant “Salut” in 2004. Suren S then worked as a Chemical Engineering CO-OP at CITGO Petroleum in 2009, where they developed tools for furnace operation and conducted catalyst studies.
After that, Ayrapetyan worked at McNeese State University as a Graduate Assistant, where they assisted in fixing distillation equipment and connecting systems for engineering students. Suren S also reviewed and graded coursework for future operators.
In 2011, Ayrapetyan returned to CITGO Petroleum as a Process Engineer. Suren S optimized operations and processes, mentored new engineers, and achieved cost savings through optimization of steam turbine generator operations. Suren S also supported turnaround operations in the FCC Unit and oversaw the Continuous Catalytic Reforming (CCR) Unit and Xylene Unit during a personnel transition.
Most recently, Ayrapetyan joined LOTTE chemical in 2022 as a Production Engineer.
Suren S Ayrapetyan obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) between 1998 and 2005. Additionally, they pursued further education at McNeese State University, where they received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. Furthermore, they also attained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from McNeese State University, although the specific years of completion for their degrees at McNeese State University are not provided.
