Wasiu currently serves as the Chief Digital Officer at LOTUS Bank, where they provide strategic leadership for the bank's digital journey. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Digital & Innovation Officer at Parallex Bank Ltd. Wasiu also held various roles at Sterling Bank Plc, including Group Head of New Product Development, Product Manager for Financial Inclusion & Agency Banking, Product Manager for Cluster Banking, and Head of Digital Banking Sales. Wasiu was also the Head of Channels at Unity Bank Plc and a Product Manager for FlashmeCash at FCMB Plc. Additionally, they served as the Head of Channels Support at FinBank and as an MIS and ePayment Specialist at Access Bank Plc. Wasiu Popoola has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Wasiu also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, earned from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, Wasiu pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Lagos from 2016 to 2018. Wasiu has several additional certifications, including Certified Information System Auditor from ISACA and SAP Certified Application Associate - Materials Management from SAP.
