Sonja Yang (Shuangyue Yang) has a diverse work experience in the field of nanofabrication and research. Shuangyue started their career as a voluntary laboratory assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014 and worked there until 2016. In 2017, they were an exchange student at Pohang University of Science and Technology.
Shuangyue then joined imec as an R&D intern in 2018, focusing on 2D materials. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a research assistant at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
In 2021, Sonja worked as a nanofabrication engineer at the Quantum Lab at Microsoft until 2022. Shuangyue then moved on to Lotus Microsystems, where they worked as a nanofabrication engineer from October 2022 to March 2023.
Currently, Sonja is an industrial PhD student at Lotus Microsystems since April 2023. Shuangyue is also an industrial PhD student at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, starting in April 2023.
Throughout their career, Sonja has gained valuable experience in nanofabrication and research, and they continue to expand their expertise through their ongoing PhD studies.
Shuangyue Yang, also known as Sonja, has a strong educational background in the field of materials science and engineering. Shuangyue obtained their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a specialization in Materials Physics from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Following their undergraduate studies, Sonja pursued a Master's degree in Materials Engineering at KU Leuven, from 2017 to 2019. Shuangyue continued their academic journey by enrolling in the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanotechnology since 2023.
