Matevž Gantar

Matevz Gantar has extensive work experience in the startup and venture capital industry. Since 2019, they have been the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Lotux VC, a company that supports founders in Latin America and invests in software-based companies in the pre-seed stage. Matevz is also an Investor at Around since 2020. Prior to that, Matevz worked as Community & Investor Relations at Arkangeles.co, where they managed investment syndicates and attracted new investors. Matevz was also a Regional Associate for LATAM & Caribbean at Seedstars World, scouting for startups in Latin America. In addition, they held roles as a Project Coordinator at BISITE ACCELERATOR, a Trainee at DG CNECT at the European Commission, and an Intern & Product Manager at Dawn of Play. Matevz has also worked as a Project Manager for the charity project "Project podariMalico - Danu philanthropy" and as a Simboiz@ project coordinator at Zavod Ypsilon. Matevz started their career as an Office Manager at Braintec d.o.o., where they handled logistics, finance, and client correspondence.

Matevz Gantar earned a Master's degree in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics in 2015. Matevz also obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Universidad de Los Andes in 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics in 2011. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in various subjects such as Private Equity and Venture Capital, Creative Problem Solving, and Gamification from institutions like Coursera and Udacity. Matevz also holds a Duolingo English Proficiency Certificate.
