Michael Poerksen

Michael Poerksen, SHRM-CP, is an experienced educator and human resources professional currently serving as a High School Business and Sports Marketing Teacher at Loudoun County Public Schools. With a strong background in HR and talent acquisition, Michael has held various roles including Human Resources Consultant at Arc Human Capital, LLC, and Director of Talent Acquisition at Solerity. Michael’s extensive experience also includes consulting for government contractors, teaching adjunct courses on career strategies at the University of Maryland, and leadership positions in recruiting for national organizations. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Legal Environment of Business from Penn State and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
