Rhiannon Blakeman

Rhiannon Blakeman is currently a GMU 2nd Degree Accelerated Nursing Student at George Mason University since August 2022, building on a diverse background in healthcare and research. Rhiannon has served as a Clerical Support Specialist and Substitute for Loudoun County Public Schools since September 2017, where notable contributions included organizing over 500 language exams. Additionally, Rhiannon's research experience spans multiple roles, including genetic engineering at UVA Health System and a licensing assistant position at U.Va. Licensing & Ventures Group, focusing on patent searches for new medical technologies. Rhiannon also worked as a Biomedical Engineering Laboratory Researcher at the University of Virginia, where experiments for pancreatic cancer detection were performed. Previous experience includes operations internships and research assistance aimed at advancing biomedical innovations. Rhiannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Nanomedicine Engineering, with minors in Biomedical Engineering and Material Science Engineering from the University of Virginia.
