Glen Watson has a diverse work experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry. Glen started their career as a Bar Staff at Master Locksmith Pub in 2008, and then worked as a Match Day Executive Box Host at Derby County Football Club from 2007 to 2008. Glen joined Loughborough Students' Union in 2008 as an Assistant Venue Manager, where they quickly progressed to become a Deputy Head of Venue Operations. During their time at Birmingham City Students' Union, Glen held the roles of Venue Manager and Eagle and Ball Manager, where they were responsible for managing the pub business, developing marketing strategies, and ensuring high standards of service operation. Glen's experience also includes managing a 600 Capacity Students' Union Venue and working with a team to run a 4500+ Capacity Nightclub. Currently, Glen is providing effective support as Deputy Head of Venue Operations at Loughborough Students' Union.
Glen Watson pursued their education in Computer Science at Loughborough University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Derby College from 2005 to 2007, where they completed a BTEC National Diploma in Software Development. In addition to their formal education, Glen also holds certifications in Cellar Management from the BII and a Level 2 Award in Door Supervision, also from the BII.
