Paul Perez has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Paul held several other leadership positions within the Air Force, including Deputy for Current Operations at the Directorate of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, and Deputy Director of Logistics at HQ 3rd Air Force.

Paul Perez attended Santa Fe High School from 1986 to 1990. After completing high school, they enrolled in the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School for the academic year 1990-1991. Following this, they attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1991 to 1995, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. In 2003, Paul pursued further education at Georgia College and State University, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Logistics Management from 2003 to 2005. Later in 2011, they attended the George C. Marshall Center - European Center for Security Studies and completed the Program for Security, Stability, Transition, and Reconstruction (SSTaR).
