Amber Rawls has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Amber began their career in 1999 with the Bastrop Police Department as a Patrol Officer, where they supervised junior officers, investigated traffic collisions, enforced laws, and provided security for community events. In 2006, they joined the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer. Amber later became a Training Officer, Deputy Director of the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, and a Grant Writer/Manager/Project Director. In 2011, they started working as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Midwestern State University. Currently, Amber is working at Louisiana Delta Community College as the Campus Director and also serves as the Director of Prison Programs. Amber'sresponsibilities include managing the campus operations and overseeing prison programs. Additionally, they instruct Criminal Justice courses.

Amber Rawls obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2007. Amber then went on to pursue their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice at the same institution, completing their degree in 2010. In addition, Amber Rawls has received various certifications including the Instructor Certificate of Completion and Competency in STALKER Moving/Stationary Traffic Radar from Applied Concepts Inc./STALKER Radar, the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Certified Corrections Instructor from the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor from the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Council/Federal Bureau of Investigation Training School, the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Certified Level I Law Enforcement Peace Officer from the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Certified Level III Corrections Officer from the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, and the OC Aerosol Projectors Basic Instructor Certification from Safariland Training Group/Defense Technology.
