Angela Jordan Jones M.ed.

Angela Jordan Jones, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Angela is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Foundational Skills Office of Career and College Readiness at the Louisiana Department of Education. In this role, they lead the department's efforts in providing support for student success as they enter high school. Angela oversees programming related to dropout prevention, high school reinvention, and graduation planning. Angela also served as the SIS Compliance Coordinator, responsible for coordinating state data and ensuring compliance with state procedures. Additionally, they worked as the Dean of Students at Marrero Middle School, where they provided instructional leadership and facilitated the development of a positive school culture.

Angela's teaching experience includes roles as a Math Teacher at Belle Chasse Academy, an 8th grade Pre-Algebra Teacher at Marrero Middle School within the Jefferson Parish Public School System, and a Math/Pre-Algebra Teacher at Marion Middle School. Angela began their teaching career as a 7th grade Science Teacher in the Forrest City School District.
