Heather Howle

Heather Howle has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Heather currently holds the position of Chief of Staff- IT Strategy & Governance/State Security Coordinator at the Louisiana Department of Education, where they started in August 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the State Security Coordinator at the same company since August 2022.

In addition to their work at the Louisiana Department of Education, Heather is an Adjunct Professor at Reach University, starting in August 2023. Heather also worked as an Adjunct Professor at LSU Shreveport since August 2021.

Earlier in their career, Heather was a Curriculum Development Specialist at the Cyber Innovation Center from April 2018 to April 2022. Before that, they served as a STEM Teacher at the West Feliciana Parish School Board from August 2006 to April 2018.

Heather also has experience in government, as they held the position of Council Chair at the West Feliciana Parish Government from January 2012 to December 2015.

Heather started their career as a Science Teacher at Clinton Middle School from August 2002 to May 2004 and Galena Park ISD from December 1999 to May 2003.

Heather Howle obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1995 to 1999. Heather later pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction at LSU Shreveport from 2019 to 2020. Heather Howle also holds additional certifications, including a National Board Certification obtained in November 2011 and a Louisiana State Teaching Certificate obtained from the Louisiana State Department of Education in March 2010.
