Brittany George

Brittany George is an accomplished professional in the field of geology, currently serving as Secretary and Editor for the New Orleans Geological Society and as Technology Director for the Baton Rouge Geological Society. In addition, Brittany holds the position of Petroleum Scientist II/Geologist at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, where responsibilities include geologic investigations related to salt cavern solution mining, permitting, and compliance. Prior experience includes roles as an Environmental Scientist at GHD, a Graduate Assistant at the University of New Orleans, and participation in research projects focused on Louisiana's coastal resilience. Brittany holds a Master's degree in Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of New Orleans, complemented by educational experience at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen.
