Frank Opelka

Frank Opelka serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Health, Life and Annuity at the Louisiana Department of Insurance since September 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Section Chief, Program Manager, and Special Projects Manager at the Louisiana Department of Health from May 2016 to September 2018, as well as Chief of Staff at the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals from February 2015 to May 2016. Additionally, Frank Opelka worked as a Health, Welfare and Insurance Policy Advisor in the Office of the Governor of Louisiana from 2013 to February 2015. Educational background includes a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Notre Dame Law School (2005-2008) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology/Pre-Medicine from Loyola University New Orleans (2001-2005).
