Marlene Janetos has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Marlene recently joined the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) as the Marketing Director, where they are responsible for developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communication strategy. Prior to that, Janetos served as the VP Visitor Services, Marketing & Communications at the Museum of Discovery and Science & AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater. In this role, they led a cross-functional team and generated significant revenue for the museum through high-performance teams and innovative branding strategies. Before that, they worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Orlando Science Center and the General Manager at Big Bear Arena. Additionally, Janetos has experience in marketing and promotions at Orlando Centroplex and as a Promotions Event Coordinator at Ocean Center.

Marlene Janetos attended the University of Central Florida from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, with a focus on Advertising/Public Relations. In 2013, they enrolled in the American Express Leadership Academy for a short program in Organizational Leadership. Additionally, Marlene holds an Associate of Arts degree from Daytona State College; however, the specific dates of their education at this institution are unknown.
