Shamelda Pete, MBA, EDFP, serves as a Senior Program Administrator at Louisiana Economic Development since June 2008, where responsibilities include administering the Research and Development Tax Credit and Small Business Loan Guaranty Program, along with cultivating expertise in related federal regulations and case law. Previously, Shamelda worked as an Accountant for the State of Louisiana from March 2005 to June 2008. Shamelda earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations/Internal Audit from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge between 2004 and 2007, and completed a bachelor's degree at the same institution from 1999 to 2004.
