Kenneth Tuohy MBA, RN, LSMBB, CPHQ has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kenneth began their career as a Western Regional Franchise Consultant for Zack's Famous Frozen Yogurt, where they supported 65 franchised locations in improving profitability and ensuring brand excellence.
After their role at Zack's, Tuohy moved on to become the Western Regional Director for Haagen-Dazs, a position they held for fifteen years. During this time, they were responsible for managing operations and driving success in the Western region.
Tuohy then transitioned to the role of National Marketing Director at Smoothie King Franchises, where they led a cross-functional team in setting strategic objectives and designing tactical plans to enhance store sales and profits.
Following their work at Smoothie King, Tuohy joined ARAMARK as the Director of Marketing, responsible for overseeing marketing activities within the organization.
Tuohy then made a career change to the healthcare industry, starting as a Registered Nurse at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Kenneth demonstrated competence in providing efficient and safe nursing care to patients.
Tuohy continued to develop their healthcare career, becoming a Lean Green Belt and Six Sigma Black Belt Process Improvement Leader at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. In this role, they facilitated events and utilized Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement.
Afterwards, Tuohy joined Catholic Health Initiatives as a Senior Performance Excellence Consultant. Kenneth focused on healthcare quality improvement, providing expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and serving as a project facilitator and technical resource.
Tuohy then worked as a Performance Improvement Consultant at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, where they analyzed the work environment and designed new processes and procedures to improve organizational efficiency.
Currently, Tuohy is the Director of Quality Improvement at Louisiana Healthcare Connections, where they oversee various quality improvement activities and collaborates with other departments to implement corrective actions.
Throughout their career, Tuohy has demonstrated expertise in process improvement, healthcare quality, and leadership, utilizing various methodologies and strategies to drive positive change.
Kenneth Tuohy holds an MBA degree with a marketing concentration from the University of New Orleans, which they obtained from 1998 to 2004. Kenneth also completed their Bachelor's degree in marketing, sociology, and health care from the same institution at an unspecified time. Additionally, Kenneth has an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in registered nursing, nursing administration, nursing research, and clinical nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College.
Kenneth has acquired various certifications throughout their career. In 2014, they attained the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from the International Quality Federation. Furthermore, in 2019, they obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
