Erica Turner is the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning Manager at Louisiana Public Health Institute. Erica has over 14 years of experience in the public health field. Erica has worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health, an Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, and a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University. Erica has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Health Ecology and Equity Research and as a Student Affiliate at TCHER (Transdisciplinary Center for Health Equity Research). Erica has experience in grant writing and program management, and they served as the Assistant Director at Change Happens! from 2007 to 2011.

Erica has also been a doctoral student and student affiliate of the Transdisciplinary Center for Health Equity Research at Texas A&M University, where they studied public health education and promotion. Turner holds a bachelor's degree in mass communication with an emphasis in public relations from Louisiana State University, as well as a master of speech communication with a focus on health communication from the University of Houston.
