Stephen Phillippi

Stephen Phillippi is a seasoned professional in the field of behavioral and community health, currently serving as the Program Chair for Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans and as the Founding Director of the LSUHSC Center for Evidence to Practice. With a substantial background in public health, Stephen holds the position of Director at the Institute for Public Health and Justice and has been a Professor at the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Public Health since 2001. In addition to academic roles, Stephen runs a private practice as a clinical social worker and consultant, drawing on extensive experience as a former Clinical Social Worker and Director of Clinical Services at the Youth Service Bureau of St Tammany. Educational credentials include a PhD in Social Work from Louisiana State University, an MSW from Tulane University, and a BA in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans.
