Joe Salter

Joe Salter, a Florien resident, was reappointed by the Governor of Louisiana to the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System January 1, 2019. Mr. Salter represents the 4th Congressional District, and his term of service expires on December 31, 2024. Salter is the First Assistant to the Louisiana Secretary of State and a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He is also a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives where he served as Speaker of the House from 2004-2008.
