Kristin Wenstrom

Kristin Wenstrom is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various capacities within the criminal justice system. Currently serving as a Research Attorney for Justice Scott Crichton at the Louisiana Supreme Court since September 2020, Kristin conducts research and prepares bench memos on criminal writ applications. Previously, as a Senior Staff Attorney at the Louisiana Center for Children's Rights, Kristin specialized in litigation for children sentenced to life without parole, and at the Innocence Project New Orleans, Kristin focused on post-conviction representation for wrongfully convicted individuals, particularly teenagers. Kristin's early career included a role as an Assistant Paralegal at Fragomen, where the focus was on immigration-related applications. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Tulane University Law School, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from New York University, and participation in notable training programs in restorative justice and criminal defense.
