Sungjae (Jay) Hwang

Sungjae (Jay) Hwang has a varied work experience. In 2020, they became the CEO and Co-founder of XYZ Inc. In 2018, they became a Partner and Co-founder of FoundationX. In 2017, they became an Advisor and Founding Investor of Pium, Inc. In 2018, they became an Advisor and Founding Investor of 6gram. Sungjae (Jay) has been with FuturePlay since 2014, taking on the roles of Venture Partner and Co-founder and Partner and Co-founder. In 2015, they became an Advisor and Founding Investor of Venditz and CPO and Co-founder of Fluenty Inc.

Sungjae (Jay) Hwang attended Kwangwoon University from 2001-2007, where they earned a B.S in Computer Science. Sungjae (Jay) then attended the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from 2008-2010, where they earned an M.S in Computer Science (Culture Technology Program). Sungjae (Jay) continued their studies at the same institution from 2010-2015, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in HCI (Culture Technology). Sungjae (Jay) also holds a SCJP certification.
