Frances Lathrop

Senior Director, Cardiovascular Services at Lovelace Health System

Frances Lathrop, DNP, RN, CSSBB, NE-BC has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in healthcare. Frances started their career in 2011 as the Manager of the Department of Quality/Performance Improvement at Heart Hospital @Lovelace Medical Center. Frances then moved on to the University of New Mexico Hospital, where they served as the RN Supervisor for Endoscopy in 2012, and later became the Director of Endoscopy in 2013. In 2014, they took on the role of Director of Cardiovascular Diagnostic Services, and in 2015, they were promoted to Senior Director of Cardiovascular Services. In 2019, they became the Executive Director of Cardiology and Gastroenterology at the University of NM Hospitals. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Northeast Heights Academy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic at the University of NM Hospital since 2022.

Frances Lathrop, DNP, RN, CSSBB, NE-BC obtained their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Administration from Chamberlain University in the years 2015-2017. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Nurse Executive from Chamberlain University in 2014-2015. Frances also holds an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing Science, which they earned from Southern Adventist University from 1995-1997. Frances has a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Chamberlain University. Additionally, Frances holds certifications as a Nurse Executive-Board Certified and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
