Frank Brodie, MD MBA, is an Assistant Professor of Vitreoretinal Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco since September 2021. Frank co-founded the Loving Eyes Foundation in July 2017, which aims to prevent vision loss in children by advancing necessary eyewear technology. Previous experience includes serving as a Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow at Duke University and an Innovation Fellow at Stanford University. Frank completed an Ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, following a medical residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Additionally, Frank co-founded PhaseOptics and Maculens Vision Technology, and worked as a Marketing Associate at General Mills. Frank holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School and an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, along with a BA in Political Science from Carleton College.
