Katrina Machado has extensive experience in nonprofit development and event management, currently serving as an Annual Giving Officer at Lowcountry Food Bank since December 2022. Prior to this role, Katrina held positions such as Development and Special Events Manager at Camp Happy Days and Board Relations & Special Events Manager at ECPAT-USA, where additional responsibilities included serving as Development Associate. Earlier experience includes Administrative Coordinator and Social Work Intern at The Institute for Family Health, Project Completion Supervisor at CODE, LLC, and Assistant Program Director at Easton Area Community Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work with a focus on Organizational Management and Leadership from Hunter College, a Master's Degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Universidad de Alcalá, and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Anthropology and Spanish from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Mission: The Lowcountry Food Bank’s mission is to lead the fight against hunger throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina. Guiding Principles: Feed. Advocate. Empower. The Lowcountry Food Bank serves the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina by distributing food to nearly 300 partner agencies including soup kitchens, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries. The Lowcountry Food Bank is a member of the national Feeding America network. The Lowcountry Food Bank advocates on behalf of those who experience hunger and helps empower people to make healthy and nutritious food choices.
