Ryan T. Hamilton has a strong background in astronomy and instrumentation. Ryan T. started their career in 2006 at New Mexico State University, where they worked as a Teaching Assistant and conducted astronomical research while completing their Ph.D. From 2013 to 2017, they joined USRA, where they served as an Instrument Scientist, supporting the development and maintenance of infrared imagers and spectographs on NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). In 2017, they joined Lowell Observatory as an Instrument Scientist, responsible for supporting and integrating instrumentation into the observatory. In 2022, they were promoted to Head of Instrumentation, taking on additional responsibilities in leading instrument advancements.

Ryan T. Hamilton received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Villanova University, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Astronomy at New Mexico State University. Ryan T. successfully completed their Ph.D. in 2013.
