Deepak Soundappan

Deepak Soundappan has extensive experience in data engineering and cloud data engineering. Deepak currently serves as the Data Engineering Lead at Lowe's India. Prior to this, they worked at IBM as a Cloud Data Engineer Lead for Prudential, where they led a team and designed ETL solutions for cloud data transfer. Deepak also worked as a Cloud Data Engineer Lead at IBM, leading a team to develop Big Data ETL solutions for a US Finance Brokerage firm. Deepak has also held roles as a Technical Lead and Big Data Developer at IBM, where they developed data analysis and validation tools using the latest technologies. Before joining IBM, they worked at Tata Consultancy Services as an Oracle Apps Technical Consultant, where they implemented oracle projects and financial modules for a manufacturing company in China. Deepak also designed data migration solutions for General Electric. Deepak started their career as an Internship Trainee at Tata Consultancy Services.

Deepak Soundappan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University Mumbai in 2003. Deepak also holds a Bachelor of Engineering - BE degree in Electronics from Shah And Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College. In addition to their formal education, Deepak has obtained several certifications including DBT from dbt Labs, Learn Scala from Scratch and Operating Systems: Virtualization, Concurrency & Persistence from Educative, Inc., Spark Big Data Track completion and Statistics Fundamentals in Python from DataCamp, and Scala Data Science Expertise Level - 1 and Scala Data Science certification from IBM.
