Principal Scientist Discovery Bioinformatics at Loxo Oncology

Anand Venkatraman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Anand is currently employed as a Principal Scientist Discovery Bioinformatics at Loxo Oncology at Lilly since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Corteva Agriscience as a Bioinformatics Data Engineer, where they were responsible for driving innovation by designing and developing flexible bioinformatics analysis workflows and migrating on-prem HPC workflows to the cloud. Anand also worked at Dow AgroSciences as a Scientific Software Engineer and Project Liaison, managing various projects and directing software design and development for R&D needs. Anand has also held roles at Monsanto Company, where they were a Bioinformatics Scientist and Collaboration Data Manager, and at EcoliWiki and GONUTS, TAMU, where they worked as a Bioinformatics Research Scientist. Anand's early experience includes working as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant at the Animal Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Lab, TAMU, where they made significant contributions to genome sequencing efforts and genome annotation.

Anand Venkatraman obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 2001 to 2008. Anand also attended CL Baid Metha Pharmacy, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown. In terms of additional certifications, they are an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP), and AWS Certified Developer - Associate.
