Associate Vice President - Discovery Strategy And Operations at Loxo Oncology

Ed Kesicki has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Ed currently holds the position of Associate Vice President - Discovery Strategy and Operations at Loxo Oncology at Lilly since July 2020. Ed previously served as the VP Chemistry at Petra Pharma from March 2016 to July 2020. Before that, they worked as an independent biotechnology consultant from July 2014 to 2016. Ed also held the role of Senior Director of Chemistry--Research Director at Acylin Therapeutics from February 2012 to July 2014. Prior to that, they were the Director at Infectious Disease Research Institute from 2007 to November 2012, where they focused on discovering new treatments for tuberculosis. Ed has also worked at ICOS Corp. as a Senior Staff Scientist from October 1997 to February 2007, where they led the development of the anti-cancer agent Zydelig and made significant contributions to the Chk1 kinase inhibitor program. Ed began their career as a Scientist at Prolinx from 1995 to 1997 and previously worked as a Chemist at Analytichem International from 1985 to 1988.

Ed Kesicki earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego from 1988 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Stanford University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree between 1983 and 1985. Ed'searlier education includes attending Carnegie Mellon University from 1981 to 1983, and they graduated from Highlands High School in 1981.
