John Christensen has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. John started their career in 1991 with Fort Wayne Newspapers, where they held various positions in circulation management and played a key role in transitioning from youth to adult newspaper carriers. John also managed the opening of multiple distribution centers. In 1996, they became the Event Marketing Manager, responsible for bringing large consumer-focused shows to Fort Wayne. In 2000, they became the Classified Advertising Manager and later the Director of Marketing.

In 2003, John joined Our Sunday Visitor as the Director of Marketing and Advertising, where they were part of a team that doubled the size of the publishing division through an acquisition. Later, they became the National Sales and Advertising Director and played a crucial role in redefining Our Sunday Visitor's position in the marketplace.

From 2015 to 2016, John worked at The Dynamic Catholic Institute as the Director of Special Initiatives, providing mentorship and advice to the executive team during a period of rapid growth.

Since 2016, John has been with Fort Wayne Newspapers as the Publisher of Fort Wayne Magazine and the Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, they have been responsible for partnering with local businesses to help them grow through various communication models and strategic partnerships.

In 2021, John joined Loyola Press as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Their role involves continuing the tradition of excellence and service through the content they create and helping people find God in all things.

Overall, John has gained extensive experience in sales, marketing, publishing, and leadership roles throughout their career.

John Christensen's education history starts with their high school education at Bishop Dwenger High School, which they attended from 1983 to 1987. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism at Ball State University from 1987 to 1991. Following their undergraduate studies, John went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Purdue University Fort Wayne, which they completed from 1993 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, John Christensen has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 1995, they received the AchieveGlobal Trainer Certification from Miller Heiman Group (formerly MHI Global). In 2007, they obtained the Strengths Coach certification from Gallup. More recently, in 2016, John earned the Google Adwords Certification from Google, specializing in Social Marketing Tools.
