Robert - Jan Lieben

Robert-Jan Lieben is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in commercial strategy and partnerships across EMEA and Europe. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Commercial EMEA at EBANX since March 2025, Robert-Jan drives initiatives to help businesses thrive in emerging markets, including LATAM, Africa, and India. Formerly at PayPal, Robert-Jan held several leadership roles, achieving recognition as a winner of the PayPal Global Presidents Club Award from 2021 to 2023. Additional advisory and mentorship roles include work with LOYYO, a FinTech startup, and Startupbootcamp, focusing on fintech and e-commerce. A Bachelor’s degree in International Marketing and Communication Management was obtained from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
