David Wood

David Wood is the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Gateway Financial Partners, a role held since January 1994, where the emphasis is on partnership and providing Independent Advisors with innovative technology and resources. In addition, David serves as a Board Member for the Females and Finance Community and Co-Founder and Managing Member of BlueFish Advisor Marketing. David also founded the Women’s Independence Network in September 2012, focusing on education and support for women in transition. David has held positions as Registered Principal at LPL Financial and National Planning Corporation, and previously served as Chairman of the Board for the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce. David's early career included roles as a Registered Representative at Buell Securities and Fechtor Detwiler & Co. David studied at the University of Hartford from 1985 to 1987.
