Shelagh Cox

Shelagh Cox is an experienced ESL Specialist currently employed at LRDG Language Research Development Group since October 2021, where responsibilities include ESL tutoring, content development, and language assessment. Prior to this role, Shelagh served as the Veteran Family Program Coordinator at Calgary Military Family Resource Centre from November 2017 to September 2021. Between September 2016 and November 2017, Shelagh was a Site Facilitator/Curriculum Specialist for the Mood Disorder Society of Canada's Transitions to Communities Project, focusing on reintegration support for individuals with mental or physical issues. Shelagh also worked at Mount Royal University Continuing Education as an English Language Instructor/Teacher Trainer from 1999 to 2016, where curricular development and adult education were key duties. Earlier career experience includes teaching English as an ESL instructor at GEOS Language School and ECC Language School from 1989 to 1997. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Calgary, along with various certifications from Mount Royal University and TESL Canada Federation.
