Frank Portella

Frank Portella has extensive experience in education, currently serving as an educator at LREI since September 2005. Responsibilities include teaching High School English Language Arts, High School Physical Education, and various roles in physical education for lower and middle school levels. Frank has held leadership positions such as Dean of Programs and Dean of Students, and has also been involved in coaching wrestling at multiple grade levels. Previous experience includes founding and leading the Baruch Wrestling team, acting as Summer School Principal at GO Project, and teaching language arts for the NYC Department of Education. Frank holds a Master's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from NYU, a Bachelor's degree in Literature and Philosophy from New York University, and another Master's degree in Literature and Creative Writing from Temple University.
