Daniel Sipes

Daniel Sipes is a Board Member at Laboratory Research & Innovation Group. Daniel was previously the VP Strategy and Operations, Site Head San Diego at Transcriptic from March 2019 to June 2019. Prior to Transcriptic, Sipes was the Director, High Throughput Screening at Kalypsys, Inc. from August 2001 to March 2005 where they set up high throughput screening and compound management operations for a start-up company. From April 2005 to March 2019, Sipes was the Director, Advanced Automation Technologies at The Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF). In this role, they led the Advanced Automation Technologies Group and developed and implemented new technologies for drug discovery, assay development, high throughput screening, automated cell culture and protein production. Daniel has also assisted in commercialization of new technologies. From October 1999 to July 2001, Sipes was the Head of High Throughput Screening at The Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. Prior to that, they were an Associate Scientist at Ligand from January 1994 to December 1999.

Daniel Sipes received their B.S. in Biology (Molecular) from California State University-Sacramento. Daniel then went on to get their Master of Science in Immunology from University of California, Davis.
