Girts Apsitis

Girts Apsitis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various leadership and advisory roles. Currently serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Council, Member of the Supervisory Council, and Member of the Management Board at Ventspils nafta / Latvijas kuģniecība since July 2018, Girts also holds positions as a Member of the Supervisory Council at LatvianTransit and Vitol's Legal Counsel since March 2023. Additionally, Girts has been an Adviser to the chairman of the Management Board at LSC since 2005 and co-founded Ardente (Latvia) in June 2004. Girts has a robust academic background with an LLM in Law from the Riga Graduate School of Law and is pursuing a Dr.oec. in Economics at Riga Technical University. Girts has also contributed to academia as a visiting lecturer at Rīga Stradiņš University and Riga Technical University, teaching securities market courses.
