Abin Shakya

Abin Shakya is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Louisiana State University, expected to graduate in May 2026. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant, Abin grades and conducts labs for various courses, including JAVA Programming and Applied Deep Learning, while also engaging in research focused on geometric generative modeling and Graph Neural Network-accelerated Molecular Dynamics. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Khalti, where Abin developed a middleware layer integrating APIs and built a mock environment for client bookings, along with experience as a Software Engineer developing client interfaces and REST APIs. Abin also interned at Leapfrog Technology, where a paper on real-time stock market prediction was published, and served as a Microsoft Student Partner, promoting the program at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from IOE Central Campus and foundational education from St. Xavier's College and Adarsha Vidya Mandir.
