Chaunda Allen Mitchell has extensive experience in higher education and community program leadership, with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). At Louisiana State University, Chaunda served as Associate Vice President for Student Engagement & Impact and an Adjunct Instructor, contributing expertise in communication and various other skills. As Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, strategic planning and DEIB initiatives were key responsibilities. Chaunda later held multiple leadership roles in the Office of Governor John Bel Edwards, including Director of Community Programs and Executive Director of Diversity & Inclusion, where strategic planning and DEIB were central to operations.
