Roy Haggerty is the Executive Vice President and Provost at Louisiana State University since August 2022, serving as the chief academic officer for both the flagship campus and the LSU system. Previously, Roy Haggerty held several key positions at Oregon State University from January 1996 to July 2022, including Dean of the College of Science, where Roy co-founded TRACE for COVID-19 monitoring, and Associate Vice President for Research, overseeing a $336M enterprise. Other roles included Interim Dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, where fundraising notably increased, and head of the Geology program. Education includes a Ph.D. in Geological and Earth Sciences from Stanford University and a degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2019. Roy Haggerty has also contributed as a Member of the Board of Trustees at OMSI since November 2019, serving as Treasurer from 2021 to 2023.
