Kanniyappan Govindasamy

Kanniyappan Govindasamy possesses extensive experience in marine engineering, currently serving as a Resident Engineer at L&T Infrastructure Engineering Limited since October 2022. Prior to this role, Kanniyappan held the position of Senior Marine Engineer at Louis Berger Consulting Private Limited from October 2018 and worked as an Engineer at Hatch Associates, focusing on the construction of main wharfs and dredging for ship navigation. Kanniyappan's career began at Hindustan Construction Company as a Junior Engineer (June 1978 - September 1979), followed by a long tenure at Chennai Port Trust where roles included Junior Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Assistant Executive Engineer from October 1979 to January 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (1999 - 2001) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Anna University Chennai (1984 - 1988).
