Jonathan Hughes

Jonathan Hughes has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Jonathan started their career in 2007 as the Head of Asylum Policy at the Home Office - UK Borders Agency. In 2008, they became the Government Head of Sport at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, where they were responsible for all government interests in sports, including major event bids and overseeing sport organizations. Hughes then joined the Home Office as the Head of Police Pay and Conditions, leading a reform program to deliver savings for the police pay bill and establishing a new professional body for the police. Jonathan also served as the Chief Executive of the London Youth Games and as the Chair of Active Sussex. Most recently, they worked as the Regional Delivery Director at LTA. Additionally, Hughes has been actively involved in the charity sector, serving as the Vice-Chair and Trustee of StreetGames UK Ltd.

Jonathan Hughes completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1996 to 1999. Jonathan then pursued further legal education and completed the Bar Vocational Course at Inns of Court School of Law, Gray's Inn, London from 1999 to 2000.
