Kondwani Chiumya has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. Kondwani started their career in 2008 as a Secondary School Teacher, where they taught Biology and Physical Science and encouraged student participation. In 2009, they joined the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust as a Laboratory Scientist, managing a team and overseeing testing for tuberculosis and HIV. Kondwani then moved on to work as a Chief Laboratory Technician at LUANAR-Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, where they conducted animal health diagnostics, guided students in laboratory research, and assisted faculty with curriculum development. Most recently, they served as a Senior Language Expansion Intern at One Health Lessons, overseeing language translations, proofreading materials, and managing translation teams.
