Lughano Mwenibabu is an experienced professional in irrigation engineering and water resource management, currently serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at LUANAR-Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources since June 2021, and as a Director at Aroha Irrigation and Water Supply since November 2020. Previous roles include Graduate Student Researcher for the "Lakes380" project at Lincoln University, focusing on land use change indicators in lake sediments, and a Summer Research Student assessing irrigation systems at Irrigation New Zealand. Lughano has extensive experience in designing and installing various irrigation systems through positions at Polytech Industries Limitada and PIPECO PTY LTD. Educational qualifications include a Master of Water Resources Management from Lincoln University, a certificate in WASH for Development from the International Water Center, and a BSc in Irrigation Engineering from the University of Malawi - Bunda College of Agriculture.
