Greg Baier

Greg Baier, P.E. currently serves as the Interim Director of Water Utilities and previously held the position of Assistant Director of Water Utilities with the City of Lubbock since August 2023. Prior to this, Greg Baier worked at Betenbough Homes from February 2018 to August 2023, where roles included Pre-Build Manager and Architecture Manager. Experience in the City of Lubbock spans from July 2012 to February 2018, during which Greg Baier was the Development Engineering Services Manager, Senior Civil Engineer, and Civil Engineer. Earlier career experience includes serving as Project Manager at Weatherl & Assoc from May 2011 to July 2012, Associate Pastor at New Hope Church Abilene from October 2007 to June 2011, and Project Engineer at West Central TX Muni Wtr District from March 2001 to October 2007. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Pastoral Counseling and Specialized Ministries from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Divinity (MDiv) in Theology and Religious Vocations from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
